Full St. George Cavalier Egor Vasilyevich Trofimov: Touches to the Portrait

Abstraсt

In 2024, the 110th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War will be celebrated. It lasted from 1914 to 1918. Currently, the events of that Great War take a worthy place in the national history and collective memory of Russians. It is also necessary to remember the heroes of the fighting who sacrificed their lives in the name of peace.

This article presents the biography of E. V. Trofimov, a full cavalier of St. George, a participant of the First World War and the Civil War, a native of village  Griboyedov,  the Saransk district of the Penza province. His difficult life is shown; the combat path is described, extracts from orders on awarding E. V. Trofimov with St. George Crosses of the 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st degrees are given; the Soviet period of Egor Vasilyevich’s life, spent in the village of Maryasovo of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Moscow, and the circumstances of his tragic death are also  highlighted.
