The Marjani Institute of History of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences as One of the Centers of Humanities in the Volga Region

Abstraсt

The article provides a detailed overview of the most important research results of the staff of the Marjani Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan for the last decade. The main issues and topics of the scientists' works are outlined, and their publication activities are noted. Today, the Institute is a leading humanitarian research center carrying out fundamental and applied research on the history of the Tatars and Tatarstan, the peoples of the Volga region, the Urals and the Crimea, as well as in the field of studying the rich historical and cultural heritage of the region, epigraphy, ethnography and ethnosociological research. In addition, the Institute's staff participates in the work of advisory commissions and councils of state authorities, state institutions and public organizations of the Republic of Tatarstan, including the Office of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, etc.
