Abstraсt

The goal of the Year of Teacher and Mentor is to recognize the special status of teaching staff, including those engaged in mentoring activities. However, the status of a teacher and mentor should be interpreted more broadly, extending it not only to the field of education, but also to other areas of human activity, in particular to health care. A native of Ukraine A. I. Rudyavsky lived in Temnikov for more than half of his life, his name is associated with the development of medical services in the Temnikovsky district. However, he was not only a good doctor, but also a talented healthcare organizer. Many doctors and nurses of the district hospital began their career under the supervision of Rudyavsky, who was later remembered with deep gratitude and love. The research material was publications in the Temnikovskaya district newspaper, as well as memoirs of doctors and nurses. By means of historical, biographical and retrospective methods, the influence of the mentor’s personality on the formation of professional and personal qualities of the medical staff of the Temnikovskaya district hospital is revealed. It is concluded that the personality of a mentor is of great importance in the formation of his followers’ attitude to work as the first vital need, their sense of civic duty and responsibility for the assigned task.
