Abstraсt
In the conditions of changing social and cultural situation in the country, the issues of staffing the social and cultural sphere are relevant. This problem is reflected in special scientific publications of specialists of the Department of Social and Cultural Activities of the East Siberian State Institute of Culture, as well as in scientific research within the framework of federal grants and contractual research projects supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Buryatia. The results of the work of the members of the department are a professional contribution to the development of a new paradigm of the personnel training process for the network of social and cultural institutions of the East Siberian region. The history of the development of the Department of Social and Cultural Activities is considered in the article; the process of highly qualified personnel training is scientifically substantiated and some results of scientific research of the teaching staff are characterized. It is concluded that the department has formed a solid scientific base, tested the methodology and research methods, identified the trends of the modern development of the industry and the department in terms of a scientific approach to solving the personnel issue.
