The Voronin scientific dynasty: the contribution of the family to Russian science

Lapteva I. V., Pivtsaykina O. A., Pakhmutova Е. D.

Abstraсt

The article attempts to present the phenomenon of dynasticity using the example of scientists of the Republic of Mordovia, which in the context of 2024, declared the Year of the Family in Russia and the Year of Labor Dynasties in Mordovia, finds a special meaning. The Voronin scientific dynasty was chosen for the analysis, as their contribution to regional and all-Russian science is beyond doubt. According to scientific works, factual material and memoirs, the history of the “cultural nest” is presented, based on interest in books and science, society and every person, nature and travelling, everyday hobbies and many types of art; on this synergy, the transmission of traditions and cultural meanings to next generations is based. In the course of the study, the contribution of the family to the academic, social and cultural life of the region and the country was determined, since the names of its representatives are well-known not only in scientific (local history, literary studies, cultural studies, philosophy), but also in social and political fields. Special attention is paid to the most prominent representatives — the founders of scientific schools and directions, who “gave way to science” to doctors and candidates of sciences.

Keywords: labour biography, dynasty of the Voronins, family values, “cultural nest”, scientists of Mordovia, scientific school, Ivan Dmitrievich Voronin, local history of Mordovia, Natalya Ivanovna Voronina, school of cultural studies
